Emilia Fox - Tips for Taking Centre Stage

Life can be full of little ups and downs, and sometimes it takes more than a few deep breaths to pluck up the confidence to face new challenges. 

From our first big life event of starting school, to taking exams or trying to pass your driving test, we’re all faced with daunting tasks from a young age. 

As life goes on, we develop our own tips and tricks to help us to cope when the day seems a little too much to handle. TV and theatre actress Emilia Fox knows all too well how it feels to take centre stage and keeps RESCUE REMEDY® by her side.

1. Manage your Energy

Ask yourself whether you are a morning or an afternoon person. Make sure that you are tackling big tasks when you’re at your most productive and your energy levels are at their highest.

2. Try this 1 Minute Meditation

By practising deep breathing you can begin to relax no matter where you are. The regular rhythm can help to keep you calm and mentally focused:

Sit or stand in a relaxed position, anywhere you want
Slowly inhale through your nose, counting to five
Let the air out from your mouth, counting to eight
As you breathe, let your abdomen expand outward, rather than raising your shoulders. This is a more relaxed and natural way to breathe.

3. Share Your Workload 

It may be tempting to try and do everything by yourself, but when you are busy, it is important to share your workload.  This could mean delegating tasks to other team members at work or asking for help from friends and family at home.  Get support when you need it, rather than trying to tackle everything alone to help with your stress levels.
